Original 130-year old GUINAND FRERES movement, originally produced in the 1880’s as a small gold jacket-type pocket watch. The original movement and dial have been re-housed in a new, custom-made 39mm solid stainless steel case. The impressive, antique movement can be viewed through the crystal display caseback. The watch has been serviced with full disassembly, cleaning, oiling and adjusting. Comes with a black, genuine leather strap.

Key Features

Original 130-year old movement by the independent family manufactory, Guinand Freres. This movement was originally produced in the 1880’s as a small gold jacket-type pocket watch. The movement is a lever type based on a LeCoultre & Co ebauche. Upper-middle class with nice a Geneva wave finish. The solid stainless steel case is a convenient ‘king size’ 39 mm, and houses a perfect original enamel dial with ornate hands.

This is an elegant and conveniently sized, perfect-looking wristwatch with an original 130-year old antique movement. The impressive, antique movement can be viewed through the caseback.

About Guinand Freres

Guinand Freres (brothers) is old family-run manufactory from Switzerland. The Guinand horological dynasty included more than 50 officially registered master watchmakers. Almost every small family workshops and manufactories were overtaken by huge watchmaking unions during the 1890-1900’s, but interesting watches from independent makers still can be found on antique markets.
