2.0898 GUCCI ‘LUCITE’ PERSPEX MECHANICAL, SWISS 1970s

£360.00

Check out this uniquely shaped vintage Gucci!

This ‘Lucite’ Gucci timepiece is powered by an ETA 2412 calibre movement and is a relatively early example of this model. The case is a robust square of acrylic with the classic Gucci colour stripe pattern shown above and below the dial which imitates a usual strap attachment.

The square housing frames the dial nicely showing off the minimalist and classy design featuring super thin and elegant gold hands along with a lighter gold dial finish.

Certainly an eye catching and unique addition to any collection!

About Gucci

Gucci entered the watchmaking industry in 1972, becoming the first high-fashion house to do so. The company established its watch atelier in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, with designs developed in Neuchâtel, assembly in La Chaux-de-Fonds, and dial production in Besazio, Ticino.

Gucci’s first timepiece, the Model 2000, saw commercial success, selling over one million units in two years and earning a Guinness World Record in 1974. Today, Gucci continues to produce timepieces that combine Swiss watchmaking techniques with its design heritage.
