About Gucci
Gucci entered the watchmaking industry in 1972, becoming the first high-fashion house to do so. The company established its watch atelier in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, with designs developed in Neuchâtel, assembly in La Chaux-de-Fonds, and dial production in Besazio, Ticino.
Gucci’s first timepiece, the Model 2000, saw commercial success, selling over one million units in two years and earning a Guinness World Record in 1974. Today, Gucci continues to produce timepieces that combine Swiss watchmaking techniques with its design heritage.
