Key Features

For complicated chrono watch fans and collectors, this hard to find early HY MOSER & CIE mono-pusher chronograph wristwatch is a sought after collectible item in great condition. This particular kind of chronograph was originally created for cavalry purposes. It has quite an early production date, circa 1910. Nowdays Hy Moser & Cie is a famous top-ten independent watch manufactory. The case is nickel, and a rare size – larger than the standard for this type of timepiece.

It features a fully labelled dial and movement with Hy Moser & Cie signature, an original enamel dial, and an original unusually sized case. Everything is well-presented in original vintage condition, and has been recently serviced, with great timekeeping.

The watch winds with crown, pin-set button at “11” position. Chronograph button for start/stop/reset central second. Minute counter works great as well.

The case is good-quality and unpolished. the inner dust cover needs repair, it can be detached and attached back (does not affect on functioning).

About Hy Moser & Cie

Hy Moser & Cie was founded in 1826 by Johann Heinrich Moser. Moser’s factory produced a wide range of pocket watches for both men and women in a large variety of different types and styles, which became so popular that the company began to have a consistent problem with counterfeits. In 1868, Moser, together with the American Florentino-Ariosto Jones, created a new watch company called the ‘International Watch Company’, which became a pioneer of the industrial production of watches in Switzerland.

The Hy Moser & Cie factory was revived in Schaffhausen, Switzerland in 2005, and is now among the top ten independent watch manufactories. It produces interesting luxury watches with special functions. Remarkably, the designs from the original samples of vintage Moser movements are echoed in the basic style and shape of the movements produced today.
