Key Features
A valuable trophy of the Second World War, the legendary Luftwaffe aviation chronograph from the Hanhart brand. Hanhart chronographs have traditionally been the official service combat watches of the Luftwaffe pilots, and were produced from 1939 to 1945 entirely in Germany, including the movement.
The watch is large (40mm without a crown), with a typical ‘military’ black dial and radium numerals. This is not a replica and not a later edition, it is precisely an early instrument of the pilot-navigator, which has a collectible value, but is also perfect for use as an everyday watch. The design is very progressive for the 1940’s – in addition to a chronograph with a counter, the watch has a reliable shockproof device and basic moisture protection, which were mandatory parameters of the wristwatch specification for the Luftwaffe.
Taking into account the condition of the watch, the pricing is lower than the market average. The watch has been fully serviced with disassembly in our Bristol workshop.
