A Swiss Certina KF 324 wristwatch from 1945–46, with a cream dial, central seconds and a 34 mm chrome-plated case. The clear dial layout and slim case give it a typical 1940s appearance. A hand-made strap in thick black leather adds a military-style look.
The dial has even-numbered Arabic numerals, round hour markers and an outer minute track. It is signed Certina and marked ANTIMAGNETIC. The dial originally had radium paint; the luminous infill has been repainted with a safe luminous compound and aged to match the watch.
Condition
The watch shows visible signs of age. The chrome plating is worn in places, especially around the lugs and case edges. The cream dial has age-related spotting and marks, as shown in the photographs. The stainless steel caseback has surface scratches and is stamped 8621-2 and 874688.
This watch uses the Certina (Kurth Freres) KF 324 mechanical movement with manual winding and central seconds. It has no shock protection device.
Important Notes
The dial originally had radium luminous paint. The luminous infill has been repainted using a safe compound and aged to preserve the vintage appearance.
The chrome plating has visible wear. Please see the photographs for details.
