Smart and sophisticated military-style Oris, an iconic model with ‘pointer’ date indication. This design is extensively exploited by Oris nowadays, desirable and collectible.
Vintage ORIS watches collecting is a kind of minefield – most of them are really low quality and equipped with a pin-pallet lever escapement which is totally unreliable. Only ~1/10 of observable vintage Oris stock has a proper Swiss Lever escapement or even ETA-based movements. This model is ETA-based – top quality for vintage Oris watches.
The same Pointer ‘Big Crown’ model has remarkably small case (31mm), but here we have a nice 34+mm case size.
