About Favre-Leuba and Zenith collaboration
In 1901, the families of the founders of Favre-Leuba and Zenith had productive business connection. In that context, Henry Auguste Favre of Favre-Leuba, who had already established a prosperous branch in Bombay, assumed responsibility for the distribution of Zenith watches on behalf of George Favre-Jacot, the founder of Zenith, across the markets of India and Burma. The collaboration between the two firms extended well into the 1960s and resulted in the production of a number of timepieces – most notably high-grade chronometers. Watches were co-signed on the dial with both the Zenith and Favre-Leuba names.
