About Rolex
Rolex SA was founded in 1905 in London by Hans Wilsdorf and Alfred Davis, initially going by Wilsdorf & Davis, and has since become arguably the most recognisable luxury watch brand of all time. The Swiss watchmaking giant is credited with inventing a number of firsts for the industry, including the first hermetically sealed waterproof watch (the Oyster case) and the first self-winding mechanism (the Perpetual motor). Owning a Rolex has become a symbol of status, innumerable members of the elite ranging from the presidential to the Hollywood-famous have all been known to flaunt this iconic timepiece.
