Key Features
Thin, light vintage PRISMA ‘FRIENDSHIP’ wristwatch with warm, positive colours influenced by the Dutch roots of the brand. The case is 10-micron gold plated with a hallmark between the lugs, all in tidy original condition. The word “Friendship” is inscribed in sweeping, cursive script on the caseback. The white/silver tone dial has a nice, vintage shine which is beautifully complimented by the gold tone of the case, indices, and hands.
About Prisma
Prisma was first founded as a joint collaboration between a group of Dutch watchmakers in 1948. The company is named after the shape of a cut diamond – the many rays of light that stream through the angles of a diamond representing the variety of the brand.
Prisma is very much connected to The Netherlands and take their inspiration from the Dutch population and Dutch lifestyle. They were one of the world’s first watch brands to use quartz movements in the mid-20th century, and have been worn by Dutch celebrities such as Johan Cruijff and Irene Moors.
