About Atlantic watches – past & present
Atlantic is a historic Swiss watch brand with roots in early 20th-century Swiss watchmaking, widely recognised across Europe for producing dependable, well-priced mechanical watches with excellent everyday usability (Tissot grade). The brand earned a particularly loyal following in Central and Eastern Europe, where Atlantic watches became known as “daily tools” built to last.
Today, Atlantic continues operating as a Swiss brand and remains active with modern collections. Importantly, the Seahunter line has proven enduring – its identity as a capable sport/diver series has carried forward, and the model name continues to be used in contemporary Atlantic model line, making vintage Seahunter pieces like this one the direct origin of a long-running and successful product family.
