A Swiss Oris Super from the 1970s with a well-proportioned 35 mm case and a broad silver-tone sunburst dial. The narrow bezel gives the dial a strong presence on the wrist, while the angular lugs add definition to the simple round case.
The dial is the main attraction. Its fine brushed finish catches the light, changing from bright silver to warmer shades depending on the angle. Distinctive applied numerals at twelve and six sit alongside faceted hour markers with dark centre details. Matching baton hands provide clear contrast, and a framed date window at three adds everyday practicality.
A domed acrylic crystal completes the vintage profile. The warm brown Apollo genuine leather strap adds colour and texture to the silver-tone watch.
Condition
Good vintage condition overall, with visible signs of age and use. The case retains its defined shape, although the chrome plating shows wear and areas of loss, particularly around the lugs and underside. The dial presents well, with light spotting and some ageing around its outer edge. The hands retain aged luminous infill, and the acrylic crystal appears clear. The movement has been serviced.
The watch has a hand-wound mechanical movement with 17 jewels, signed “Oris Watch Co. Swiss”. It powers the central seconds hand and the date display at three o’clock.
