2.1368 ROTARY “TV-SCREEN” TONNEAU, INTEGRATED BRACELET, SWISS 1970s

£330.00

A striking 1970s Rotary wristwatch combining a blue TV-screen dial, substantial stainless steel tonneau case and original integrated bracelet. Its broad geometric surfaces and continuous case-to-bracelet construction give the watch a confident, architectural presence that is unmistakably characteristic of 1970s industrial design. The substantial steel construction gives the watch a pleasantly solid weight and reassuring presence on the wrist.

The proportions work especially well on the wrist. Although the case measures a moderate 35.5 mm across, the wide 24 mm bracelet and almost lugless construction make the watch feel considerably more substantial. The bracelet does not simply attach to the case: it forms part of the overall design, creating one continuous steel object from clasp to dial.

The blue dial provides the visual focus, changing from dark navy to a brighter metallic blue depending on the light. Applied steel markers, broad hands and the framed date aperture create a clean, functional composition without distracting from the strong case architecture.
