2.1343 OMEGA GENEVE DYNAMIC BLUE 41mm (NEW BRACELET), SWISS 1970
£1,100.00
A superb 1970 Omega Genève Dynamic with the classic oversized elliptical “UFO” case, matte blue dial, and crisp stainless steel presence. The Dynamic line was one of Omega’s most recognisable design experiments of the late 1960s and early 1970s: bold, ergonomic, modern, and heavily advertised as a watch shaped around the anatomy of the wrist. The result still feels fresh today – part tool watch, part design object, and unmistakably Omega.
This example is in rare excellent condition. The matte blue dial is beautifully preserved, the applied indices have strong architectural depth, and the bright blue central seconds hand gives the watch exactly the right period character. The movement has been serviced and is supplied with a 12-month warranty.
The stainless steel monobloc case is one of the defining Dynamic features: instead of a conventional removable caseback, the movement is accessed from the front. The case has the correct broad radial-brushed surface and polished accents, giving it the distinctive 1970s Omega Dynamic look. The watch is fitted with an aftermarket special-type stainless steel bracelet, made in the correct Dynamic style and long enough for a large wrist.
About the Omega Dynamic series
The first-generation Omega Dynamic was created in 1967 and launched publicly in 1968, with design work credited to Raymond Thévenaz. Its name referred to the case design itself: an ergonomic oval form developed around how the watch sits on the wrist, combined with special strap and bracelet systems. The line became very popular and was widely promoted in period Omega advertising, including the memorable slogan: “The strap is a revelation. The watch is a revolution. Its name is Omega Dynamic.”
