About Timor
Timor was established in 1923 by Mr. Bernheim and Mr. Luthy in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, with the goal of producing reliable, everyday Swiss watches. Gaining early recognition across Europe, the brand became known for its rigorous quality testing and was among the first to create a commercial watch for the visually impaired in 1931.
During World War II, Timor supplied watches to the British Army, developing models for both the A.T.P. and W.W.W. specifications. After a shift toward fashion in the 1960s and a period of decline during the quartz crisis, the company refocused on its heritage. Since 2018, Timor has operated from the UK, continuing its legacy with the release of the Heritage Field, inspired by its wartime designs.
