Key Features
Carronade word means a short large-caliber cannon, formerly in naval use. It is also the perfect name for this this vintage 70s watch, this piece features a solid built steel case along with its matching steel bracelet, this in turn allows it to feel great on wrist! The piece features a domed acrylic crystal that catches the light and creates wonderful distortions. The dial features applied logos and indices along with a beautiful silver sunburst dial. The case has been given new life by us in our workshop in Bristol as we have lightly brushed and polished the case to keep it looking the best it can.
About Tressa
Tressa was a small Swiss watch manufacturer that was in business from 1966 to 1986, where it filed for bankruptcy during the Quartz Crisis and was later bought out by the luxury watch brand Rado Ltd. Tressa was best known for its ‘Spaceman’ and ‘Lux’ lines of watches, the latter of which often had unusual faceted crystals with technicolour dials. They did not manufacture their own movements, typically their watches had ETA or Anton Schild movements powering them, both very reliable mechanisms.
