£330.00

A classic Yema Diver from the 1970s, the cushion case distinctively resembles Panerai but has its own individual charm. Key Features

A very special watch in our collection. This 1970’s Yema ‘PAM’ Diver from France has many of the conventional trappings of a diving watch; cool lumed and legible numerals, a rare countdown bezel for tracking diving duration, and with the new gaskets we’ve fitted it perfectly passes a 30M waterproof test. The cushion case is distinctively reminiscent of the more prestigious Panerai case shape, which for us definitely enhances the draw of this piece. The dial is a gorgeous velvety, almost textureless blue, with a TV-screen seconds subdial set subtly into the surface. Steel baton style hands and Arabic numerals still glow brightly with tritium lume, despite its 50+ year lifespan! A final detail of note is the date complication at the 3 position.

About Yema

Yema, France made its history and fame through professional grade diving watches. The Yema Sous-Marine was tested and used by the Jacques Yves Cousteau Calypso team, after which it became a super popular watch model in France. This watch is from the same 70’s, an era when electronic digital indication was introduced.
