Signature AIRAIN ‘French diver’ with typical French dial design of black numerals applied to green lume wedges. The Dial is also domed, and the framed indexes work to create a three-dimensional scene under the crystal. The case body is a high-quality solid stainless steel, slim in shape and a perfect fit on the wrist. The ‘Etanche Controlee’ signature is visible on the screw caseback – meaning ‘Waterproof tested’. This timepiece is a highly collectible item, dating to the early 1960’s, although despite its age it still retains its attractive, eye-catching appearance and great timekeeping.
About Airain
The Airain / Dodane brand is a well known French maker of watches, timers and cockpit clocks for military needs. The Dodane Type XX flyback chronograph was the main competitor to the Breguet Type XX. Many diving and professional models were introduced for French market.
