2.1300 OMEGA “DE VILLE” 111.071 SQUARE GOLD PLATED, SWISS 1970

A sharp and elegant square Omega De Ville from 1970, presented in excellent vintage condition. Formally speaking the case is compact, but the square architecture gives it much more wrist presence than the numbers suggest. Add the generous 19 mm bracelet width, and the watch wears larger and more substantial than expected. It is exactly the kind of refined 1970s Omega that works beautifully with tailoring.

This example is especially attractive thanks to its clean, balanced geometry and rich monochrome look. The gold-tone brushed dial with applied baton indices and applied Omega logo is restrained, crisp, and unmistakably De Ville. The square case has that sleek late-1960s / early-1970s architectural feel, while the original-style acrylic crystal keeps the watch visually warm and true to period. It is a superb dress Omega with just enough design confidence to stand apart from round-case alternatives.
