2.1192 OMEGA GOLD TOP MONOBLOC AUTOMATIC ‘CCC CANADA’, SWISS 1970
£630.00
A rare and characterful Omega featuring an original corporate-signed dial. The CCC emblem refers to the Continental Can Company of Canada, a major industrial group and part of the world’s largest packaging corporation during the mid-20th century. Such dials were produced in limited numbers for corporate presentation and internal distribution, making them seldom seen today.
The case is an unusual bi-colour construction with a gold-capped top and steel back, the split tone clearly visible along the case sides. This is a true monobloc (monocoque) case, machined from a single piece of metal and opened from the dial side. This construction improves rigidity and dust resistance and was widely used by Omega in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
Excellent dial condition with clean printing and applied baton hour markers. Original acrylic crystal, signed with the micro Omega logo at centre. Original Omega signed winding crown.
