2.1106 BUREN DH GERMAN MILITARY, WW2 WEHRMACHT 1940s
£660.00
Original German military watch from the early 1940s, official D-H stamp on the back for Deutsches Heer (Wehrmacht). Non-Radium lume, no radiation. Rare excellent dial condition, it’s an original unrestored dial – just old Radium paint has been removed and replaced with a vintage-looking safe lume compound. The case is unrestored as well, some typical wear to chrome plating is better than most of examples one can find.
Note the rare movement option with a different bridge layout than often seen Calibre 410, a really interesting collectible feature, early 1940s series of Buren D-H.
About Buren
Buren watches are celebrated for their precision and durability, qualities that also made them a trusted choice for military use in the mid-20th century. During World War II, Buren produced timepieces for armed forces, crafting rugged, reliable field watches that could withstand demanding conditions in combat. These vintage military Buren watches were typically designed with utilitarian simplicity – featuring highly legible dials, luminous markers, and robust movements protected by sturdy cases. Often referred to as “Dirty Dozen”-style military pieces, though not officially part of that exact group, Buren’s service watches reflected the brand’s commitment to reliability in extreme environments. Today, these models are highly sought after by collectors not only for their historical significance but also for their understated simple design, which bridges the brand’s reputation with its role in providing dependable tools in wartime.
