2.0284 RECIF Digital, France, 1970s

£210.00 (incl. VAT)

Another highly collectible digi-mech from Recif. Similar in design to the Myon automatic from our collection, these ‘jump-hour’ digi-mechs are from an interesting time in watch history where the advent of digital watches threatened the mechanical watch industry, which birthed these digital imitation timepieces.

Key features

A classic digi-mech design, very similar to the Myon in our catalog. The chrome plated case has slight wear to it, though is still sturdy and shiny, and the patently 1970’s style dial is in perfect condition. Matching the steel-bezelled hour and minute indicators is a small and simple date indicator, which sits neatly in the centre band of colour on the dial. These watches are highly collectible, and we think this is a reasonable price for an opportunity to snag one!

NOTE: It is strictly recommended that you do not move the hour discs backwards, and only move them forwards to avoid any maladjustment of the jump-hour springs.

About Recif

Recif was one of brands hit by the quartz crisis, and little is known about the company apart from that it had French origin, and made many high-quality watches in the 1960’s and early 70’s.
