Key Features
This neat little Princeton manual wind from the 1960s has had a generous fix-up in our workshop. The interestingly shaped tonneau case body has been polished and radially brushed, and we have replaced the acrylic crystal. The dial is a deep-blue sunburst style, which along with the mirror polish hands and indices play off the light beautifully, and allow for high-contrast legibility. The date indicator sits in standard black and white at the 3 position, just as easy to read as the rest of the watch. We have fitted this watch with a dark blue alligator style leather strap.
Very little information is available on the Princeton brand, though it doesn’t appear to have any connection to the famous university. Our research has found that there were several other models from this brand cropping up in a similar time period, but it seems as though much of what we could know about Princeton has been lost to time.
