This Tissot Seastar T.12 offered today is rarely seen. The T.12 designation meant that the case could withstand 12bar (120 metres) which was on par with offerings from Rolex, Omega and Blancpain during the same time period. The watch features an “Oyster” style case, along with a silver dial that has seen same patina on it, it’s applique indices harkens back to Patek Philippe’s Calatrava. The brand new brown alligator strap compliments this watch well. Powering this timepiece is the Tissot 27B-1 calibre which is a high quality, well finished manual wind movement.
About Tissot
Tissot SA is a Swiss luxury brand, founded in Le Locle, Switzerland by Charles-Félicien Tissot and his son, Charles-Émile Tissot, in 1853. Tissot merged with watch company Omega SA in 1930, forming SSIH (Société Suisse pour l’Industrie Horlogère), and Tissot-Omega watches from this era are much sought after by collectors. Tissot is an official timekeeper for the world championships in cycling, motorcycling, fencing and ice hockey, and was also a sponsor for the Formula One car-racing teams Lotus, Renault, and Sauber.
