2.1348 ORIS SUPER 482KIF 33mm GOLD PLATED, SWISS 1960s
£390.00
A charming 1960s Oris Super with a beautifully preserved pearl sunburst dial, elegant gold-plated case, and strong vintage character. This is the classic Oris formula of the period: attractive Swiss styling, an in-house movement, and very good everyday wearability in a compact dress-watch format.
The dial is the highlight here. It has a soft silver-pearl sunburst finish with applied gold numerals at 12 and 6, raised gold indices, and sharp faceted hands. The domed acrylic crystal gives the watch that warm vintage depth, while the slim gold-plated case keeps it elegant and easy to wear.
About Oris “Super”
The Oris Super line represents an important and very recognisable part of mid-century Oris production. They were never trying to be high-luxury chronometers; instead, they offered durable, accessible Swiss watchmaking with plenty of personality – exactly why these pieces remain interesting today.

About This Oris Super
Vintage Oris watches are desirable not only because of the brand’s long-standing reputation, but also because of the company’s use of in-house movements. At the same time, many vintage Oris calibres used pin-lever escapements, which are generally less refined and less satisfactory in practical use than a proper Swiss lever movement.
That is exactly why this example stands out. Powered by the Oris 482KIF, it belongs to the rarer and more collectible group of vintage Oris watches fitted with a fully jewelled Swiss lever escapement. Combined with the KIF antishock system and recent servicing in our workshop, it offers a notably better ownership experience than the average period Oris.
Servicing and Warranty
Fully serviced with disassembly in our Bristol shop
This watch is fitted with the Oris 482KIF, a manually wound in-house movement with 17 jewels and KIF shock protection. More importantly, it uses a proper ruby jewelled Swiss lever escapement rather than the pin-lever system found in many lower-grade vintage Oris watches. After servicing, the movement performs as a reliable and enjoyable everyday vintage calibre, while retaining the appeal of a true period Oris manufacture movement.
