2.1322 OMEGA “GENEVE DYNAMIC” CHRONOSTOP CHRONOGRAPH REF. 146.009, SWISS 1969

£900.00

Omega’s Chronostop is one of the most charming “light chronograph” ideas of the late 1960s: a clean three-hand watch with a central orange 60-second timing hand operated by a single pusher. In the Dynamic / “UFO” case shape it becomes even more distinctive – broad sunburst pattern bezel, compact proportions, and that unmistakable late-1960x design language.

The case finishing has been refreshed in our workshop on a lapping disc machine, and the sunburst pattern is now crisp and even, exactly as this case style deserves.

Omega calibre 920 / Lemania

The Omega calibre 920 (date version) is a branch of the Lemania-based Omega 861 family (Speedmaster Professional), simplified for the Chronostop concept. It’s virtually identical to the legendary first-generation Speedmaster Moonwatch movement, which makes this watch even more desirable.

Movement technical notes

  • This calibre is known for a “quick date” behaviour achieved by moving the hands backwards to ~9pm through the changeover window
  • With any vintage date mechanism, avoid forcing the calendar during the active changeover period – set gently and stop if you feel resistance

Chronostop pusher logic (how it works)

A true single-pusher timing system:

  • 1st press: starts the central orange hand
  • 2nd press (hold): stops the timing (hand is clamped while you keep pressure)
  • Release the pusher: the hand returns to zero (resets)

Important Notes

  • Non-waterproof
  • No water resistance warranty is provided
