A compact, all-steel vintage diver with a rare “just right” 37 mm footprint and the kind of ergonomic case shape that sits naturally on the wrist. The standout here is the deep, velvety matte-blue dial: clean, highly legible, and perfectly matched with bold applied indices and strong lume geometry. The wide crown-guard architecture and purposeful bezel complete the classic 1970s tool-watch profile.
This exact model used to be extremely popular and desirable, it appears on original vintage advertising from the 1974 (see the last picture).
The watch is in very attractive vintage condition overall. The stainless steel case presents cleanly with honest wear, while the aluminium timing bezel shows visible edge marks consistent with age (please see photos). The dial is well preserved with crisp printing, and the thick acrylic crystal gives the watch its correct period warmth and depth.

About the Talis brand
Talis is one of those “under the radar” vintage names that occasionally surfaces with surprisingly well-built Swiss watches – often practical, robust pieces using proven Swiss movements and shock protection. Period documentation is relatively scarce, but trademark records and collector research connect the Talis Watch name to early 20th-century registrations and to the broader trade of Swiss watches through hubs like La Chaux-de-Fonds. In the 1960s-70s, the brand appears on capable everyday watches and Skin-diver and Super Compressor models – exactly the sort of honest tool watch that delivers maximum character without the “big brand” price premium.
