If you’ve already noticed, we have a soft spot for watches with a little twist. This Bernex is a perfect example: the dial features an open-heart aperture at 12 o’clock, revealing the balance wheel – the true mechanical “beating heart” of the watch.

The design is timeless and intentionally minimal: a clean paper-white dial, polished applied indices, and slim baton hands. At ~35 mm it’s an ideal everyday size – comfortable, and easy for everyday wear.

A fortunate technical detail: the movement is built on the proven ETA 2824-2 architecture, which is a serious advantage over many modern fashion open-heart watches. With normal care and periodic servicing, this is the kind of mechanism that can run reliably for decades.
