2.1107 HELVETIA DH GERMAN MILITARY REF. 3190, WW2 WEHRMACHT 1940s

Officiall supply for the Wehrmacht, this Helvetia watch bears the D.H. (Deutsches Heer) stamp and is in excellent condition. The movement is signed and features a patented shock-absorbing device. Model reference 3190 (D-H) is stamped on the caseback. The classic black dial features luminous numerals and hands, updated with a safe, non-radioactive lume compound that maintains its authentic vintage aesthetic.

Helvetia was quite a smart company – it managed to sell military watches to both the Reich and Great Britain. The same Helvetia is found with both the German “DH” mark for Wehrmacht supply and the British military “GSTP” mark.

Photographing watches with black dials is quite difficult, and glare prevents them from conveying their full beauty. This example looks just gorgeous combining age and clear time readout.
