Key Features

Moderately large, cool, slick early 1970’s MYON men’s watch, made in France. Interesting design, with wooden-style gold-plated dial, from early electronic digital era, this mechanical watch has been designed to look digital, although still works like analogue display watch with a smooth rotation of discs. Unusual shape and size, with a retro oval shape. Great unrestored condition, looking almost like new, all original apart from a new 18 mm wrist strap.

Fun fact – 99% of those super-modern electronic digital watches are now dead and non-repairable, due to the degradation of the integrated electronic components. However, the horological digi-mech creations are still alive and running, and with regular servicing will continue to be and to do so for 100+ years.

Please note MYON advertising poster photo – it illustrates an identical digi-mech gold plated model.

About the Brand

The MYON France watch brand was very much driven by horological design innovations in the 1960’s-1970’s. Good quality watches with Made in France movements, and many ultra-modern chronograph and digital-mechanical designs can be found.
