2.0909 TISSOT T12 VISODATE SEASTAR, STEEL SWISS 1962

£450.00

This tough and sturdy Tissot T12 is perfect as a vintage daily wear.

The ‘T12’ refers to its original water resistance rating of up to 12ATM or 120 metres which approaches ratings closer to professional divers watches.  However, this watch has become only weather proof over time which is as expected for a watch of it’s age.

The exterior of the timepiece features a large winding crown, a thick acrylic crystal with cyclops lens and a thick caseback, all protecting a newly serviced and reliable Tissot 784 automatic movement.

About Tissot

Tissot SA is a Swiss luxury watch brand, founded in Le Locle, Switzerland by Charles-Félicien Tissot and his son, Charles-Émile Tissot, in 1853.

Tissot merged with watch company Omega SA in 1930, forming SSIH (Société Suisse pour l’Industrie Horlogère), and Tissot-Omega watches from this era are much sought after by collectors. Tissot is an official timekeeper for the world championships in cycling, motorcycling, fencing and ice hockey, and was also a sponsor for the Formula One car-racing teams Lotus, Renault, and Sauber.

Tissot watches have been worn by the likes of Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, Grace Kelly, Elvis Presley and Nelson Mandela.
