About Raymond Weil
Raymond Weil, a Swiss luxury watchmaker, was founded in 1976 in Geneva by Raymond Weil and Simone Bédat. Despite the challenges of the Quartz Crisis, the brand established itself by offering both traditional mechanical and quartz-powered watches, appealing to lower-end luxury watch buyers.
In 1982, Raymond Weil’s son-in-law, Olivier Bernheim, joined the company, bringing a modern vision that expanded the brand’s international presence. He became President and CEO in 1996.
The brand has a strong connection to music, with collections named after famous operas and musical terms, such as Amadeus, Fidelio, and Toccata.
In 2006, marking its 30th anniversary, the third generation—Elie and Pierre Bernheim—joined the company, focusing on contemporary and technologically advanced collections. Elie Bernheim became CEO in 2014.
In 2023, Raymond Weil’s Millesime Small Seconds model won the Challenge Prize at the Grand Prix de l’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) Awards, highlighting the brand’s ongoing innovation and excellence in watchmaking.
