About Cyma
Cyma is a luxury swiss wristwatch manufacturer founded in 1862 by Joseph and Theodore Schowb, the name ‘Cyma’ meaning Sprout in Latin.
In the beginning Cyma produced 40 watches a day with a team of 40 people with 55 machines, the brothers then partnered with Sandoz to later become The Cyma Watch Company in 1892 with their factory in La Chaux-De-Fonds.
This brand was widely considered as on the forefront of technology, launching and automatic watch in 1943 then later releasing a one mainspring alarm watch called the ‘Time-O-Vox’.
The company is still producing watches today, now owned by Stelux International Lt. and overseen by Universal Geneve.
