Breitling Super Ocean Chronograph Servicing

This post is the result of a sunny photoshoot with great results plus the lovely experience of servicing a Breitling Super Ocean Chronograph and wanting to share the process with you all!

This is what a typical servicing looks like – complete disassembly of the mechanism, cleaning, then assembly, lubrication, and adjustment.
During the assembly process, the operation of each part including wear in the axles and gear teeth etc. is tested.
Notice how few parts there are for an automatic chronograph with two counters. The parts are quite simply made, for example, the levers are made by die-cutting as opposed to standard, more time consuming methods.

Always happy to work on such a lovely movement!
